Scott is the primary instructor for the beginner jiu-jitsu courses for both kids and adults, under Coach Jokisch. He is also the primary instructor for kids karate classes, under Master Brown.
Scott is a husband, father, pastor, author, comic-book nerd, and martial arts enthusiast. His martial arts journey began in 2014 when he started training in Tang Soo Do. He earned his black belt in Tang Soo Do in 2020 under Master Rick Brown, and currently holds a third-degree black belt. He holds additional belts in various other styles, including Shotokan, Kenpo, and Kyuki-Do. Scott began his jiu jitsu training under Professor Tim Morenz in 2020, then spent a year under Hanshi John Geyston in 2021 before beginning his training under Coach Matthew Jokisch. He's served as an assistant instructor at multiple schools. For Scott, martial arts is not just about self-defense, but also about personal growth, mental resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. He is excited to continue training and teaching, helping others discover the transformative power of martial arts both on and off the mat.
